This book is applicable for first grade.  It can be used by a teacher in a classroom or by a tutor or parent-teacher working one-on-one with a child at home. 

The material in the book is also applicable for certain students who wish to go back to basics and come forward level-by-level.  Such students would check off as done, anything they fully know and study those sections they are weak in.

The author highly recommends that teachers and tutors should be familiar with the method of study known as Study Technology developed by L. Ron Hubbard.  This is also true for students who are doing this book on their own. The application of Study Technology will ensure success.

For children in first, second or third grades, a teacher or tutor should read the material aloud to the student or students.  Children with a fourth grade reading vocabulary or higher should be able to do the book without much supervision, especially if they have completed an Applied Scholastics Study Technology course.
