“I was able to go at my own pace and choose what I wanted to do”
I have had three types of schooling – starting with public school in Russia, going to a private school in the U.S. and finishing off with online school. My favorite by far were programs where I was able to go at my own pace and choose what I wanted to do while also having some necessary subjects to conquer.
I discovered all of that at Delphi Academy and then again with Applied Scholastics Online Academy. I would say I am a pretty independent student and tend to figure things out myself, but whenever I needed help the staff were always there for me. They wanted me to succeed. Everyone is very welcoming and very easy to communicate with. They help you make a program specifically for you, giving you options with the student having the final say. You are also able to make your own schedule which was very helpful in my case since I am a dancer and perform quite a bit that was very helpful to my career.
Alongside my program, I had amazing study tools, one of them being the L. Ron Hubbard’s Study Technology[1]. I wouldn’t have achieved the level that I did if it wasn’t for the Study Technology. It has helped me countless times in countless situations and continues to do so.
I have encountered many people throughout my education and every single one of them had a major impact on me. There are many teachers that helped me when it got hard and taught me many lessons which I will remember. From math to performance etiquette, my knowledge only expanded because of them. Obviously, my family was here for me as well, especially my mom. She is my biggest supporter and will help me with anything.
On a final note, I would like to say that no matter what life throws at you, you have to keep your eyes open and take every opportunity. You cannot take things and people for granted. Every little thing you read, every little thing you hear, every bit of advice someone gives you, keep it with you and write your own story. Make it worth reading. I just turned seventeen and finished high school. This was only a page from the past ten years of my life and my story is just getting started.
