A number of students have asked, “What use is algebra?”  This is a most excellent question. This book tells what it is, where it came from, and how and why it is used. “Introduction to Algebra” is easy to understand and shows students how algebra differs from basic math.  Most importantly, it allows students to decide if they want to study algebra further; it allows student to decide for themselves if algebra will be (or will not be) of use to them, personally.
